Open to everyone: 24 hours, 7 days per week

**For Allentown Residents Only. Proof of residency required**

YARD WASTE SITE DROP OFF OPEN Year-Round
The Yard Waste Site is for use by Allentown residents only for yard waste generated from their property.
(No Landscapers Allowed!)
Proof of Allentown residency required.  An ID Card is available for regular users.
Users must show their driver’s license every time they use the Drop Off Site.

 

The 2024 season runs from Wednesday, April 3 to Saturday, November 23. The site will be open on the following days: 

  • Wednesdays 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
  • Saturdays 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Only Allentown residents allowed. Contractors/landscapers may not use this site.

Accepted materials: 

    • Grass
    • Weeds
    • Flowers
    • Hedge Trimmings
    • Leaves
    • Branches

Not accepted: 

    • Dirt, Soil, Compost, Sod
    • Rocks, Stones, Concrete/Cement, etc.
    • Flower Pots
    • Wood, Lumber, Railroad Ties, Fencing, etc.
    • Bamboo (call the Recycling Office for disposal instructions)
    • Trash, Construction Debris

Mulch Loading Services: April  - November  Wednesdays, 8:00 am - 11:00 am

Pre-paid fee: $12 per bucket load (approx. one cubic yard). Pay in advance at Recycling & Solid Waste office. Payment: 641 S. 10th Street, Mon-Fri, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. No payments accepted at the yard waste site.

Free self-loading available during Drop Off hours

Curbside Collection of Yard Waste: April to November, placed out on recycling night. Use specific containers, no plastic bags. We provide stickers for yard waste containers. For more information and to request stickers call: 610-437-8729

Winter Hours: 

First Saturdays of December - March, 10 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., weather permitting.
