The most prominent feature of this 77 acre park is Bauer Rock, a towering mass of dark colored gneiss that rises 40 feet above the crest of the South Mountain. A short walk from the parking area leads to this stunning natural formation. This spot offers excellent views of Southern Lehigh County after the leaves fall.

Bauer Rock can be reached by a short hike from a small parking area on the south side of East Rock Road, directly across from Mountain Top Lane. Walk around the left side of the fence and follow the trail into the woods. Bauer Rock is about 200-feet beyond the end of the fence.

The park has are many acres of dense forest for hiking and nature study.
