Certified Peer Specialist and PAIR--Peers Assisting in Recovery

A program of peer mentors who have reached a certain level of recovery which allows them the ability to offer hope to other people in similar situations based on their individual strengths, needs and goals. A peer can assist in daily tasks, increasing social interactions and working towards individual goals and objectives within a community environment.  

• Certified Peer Specialist - Magellan funded services. A consumer must meet qualifications and be recommended for the service by a psychiatrist, medical doctor or registered nurse.
