Who is a MANDATED REPORTER?

Before Act 179:

Any persons who in the course of their work have contact with children and who have reasonable cause to suspect that a child coming before them is abused MUST report. The duty was triggered when the reporter had direct contact with the child who was the suspected victim of abuse.

After Act 179: (CURRENT LAW)

Any persons who in the course of their work have contact with children and who have reasonable cause to suspect that a child under the care, supervision, guidance, or training of that person, or an agency, institution, organization or other entity with which that person is affiliated, is abused MUST report
