Also, be sure to ask about or look into the Property Tax/ Rent Rebate Program when completing your taxes.  This program supports homeowners and renters across Pennsylvania by providing a rebate ranging from $380 - $1,000 to eligible older adults and people with disabilities age 18 and older.  Click here for more information --> Pennsylvania Property Tax/ Rent Rebate Program. 

Eligible individuals in a one-person household will receive five $5 vouchers, and eligible two-person households will receive ten $5 vouchers. Please note that these vouchers are issued one time only per household.  We recognize that this year’s benefit amount reflects a reduction from the previous year’s program. However, the Lehigh County Office of Aging and Adult Services is not responsible for determining the benefit amount. Any questions or concerns regarding this change should be directed to your local elected officials or the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture and are redeemable as of June 1, 2025.

A list of participating local farmers’ markets where the vouchers may be used to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables is available at https://www.pameals.pa.gov/public/farmmarketsearch. This list will also be included in the mailing with your vouchers.

Please note: This program is not available to seniors residing in nursing homes, convents, or other residential facilities where meals are provided. Vouchers are not accepted at grocery stores and must be used no later than November 30, 2025.

Vouchers will be mailed once received from the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture.
