Lehigh County: Celebrating Red, White, Blue and YOU!
Mission:
Lehigh County's commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the birth of our country invites the people and neighborhoods through civic engagement, local celebrations, and legacy projects to create a cultural and economic impact remembered for years to come.
On July 4, 2026, America will celebrate the 250th birthday of our nation. This historic milestone is an opportunity for
Lehigh County to celebrate our past, present and future.
Together, our municipalities will lead a movement to celebrate US and our diverse neighborhoods, beautiful geography, and rich cultural and historical assets that make
Lehigh County a unique treasure.
Lehigh County's historical significance in the Revolutionary War along with our many restored historic properties creates memorable destination opportunities. Our many ethnically rich communities which helped to build our area into a
powerhouse for the Industrial Revolution are still thriving and also invite exploration.
Watch this site for upcoming county-wide events to celebrate our Semiquincentennial and to learn of the many volunteer opportunities.
Get Involved!
Lehigh County is looking for partners from our business community, municipalities, historical societies, cultural organizations, and nonprofit organizations
to discuss their plans for the 2026 Semiquincentennial and to coordinate and promote the many wonderful assets and special events across Lehigh County.
Our collaboration with county-wide partners will make this historic celebration truly inclusive and promote tourism and economic development opportunities which creates a lasting legacy for all.
