In accordance with the reporting requirements of Act 88 of 2022, Lehigh County received an unofficial total of 20,206 mail-in ballots and absentee ballots by 8:00 pm on the day of the May 19, 2026 Primary Election.
Former Lehigh County Commissioner, Percy H. Dougherty Ph.D. passed away on Sunday, May 17.
Percy served as a county commissioner for 28 years and served on the Lehigh Valley Planning Commission for 38 years. He was the County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania (CCAP) President in 2007. In recognition of his leadership and service, he was honored with CCAP’s Commissioner of the Year Award in 2021. A viewing and memorial service will be held Friday, May 22, in Allentown.
