Quality Assurance and Placement Services

Placement services are needed for a child that requires temporary out-of-home care. The placement caseworker makes referrals to vendor agencies in order to locate the best possible caregiver for a child. Within the first month of a child residing in their new temporary home, a placement worker will visit the child three times. Safety and appropriateness of the setting will be assured during this time.   The placement caseworker will facilitate visitation with the child’s biological family as well as ensure that their medical and educational needs are being met.

Lehigh County Children & Youth has a Resource Home program whereby an Administrative Officer recruits, trains, tracks, and provides quality assurance for our resource parents. Our resource homes are closely monitored in order to provide support to both the youth and the caregivers.

At this time, LCOCYS is not accepting applications for new resource parents.
