The mission of the Lehigh County Department of Corrections is to protect the community through the secure, lawful confinement of inmates. While addressing the needs of the community, staff and those confined, consistent with the highest recognized correctional standards, the Department will provide a safe, healthful and humane environment in which to live and work. The Department will offer program opportunities to inmates in preparation for their return to society as productive citizens
